ReStore of Santa Barbara Volunteers

The ReStore helps raise money for Habitat for Humanity and keeps good, reusable materials in use. The ReStore has discounted prices on donated and new building supplies, cabinets, lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, flooring, windows, furniture, appliances, tools, and other home improvement materials. 

The ReStore needs your donations of used buiding materials, funiture, appliances, and more. Look below for the list of items that the ReStore accepts. All donations are tax deductible.

How to donate to the ReStore? Please bring your donations to the ReStore, located at 6725 Hollister Aveune. If your donation is too large a truck pick-up can be scheduled for big-ticket items. Donation pick-ups are schedule for Wednesay through Friday mornings. To schedule a pick-up please contact Joel Delgado at 805-692-2226.

Items the ReStore accepts:

  • Appliances: Must be in working condition, clean, and have all parts.
  • Cabinets: New or used.
  • Carpet or rugs: New carpet only, no used carpet or padding.
  • Doors: Exterior, interior, wood, French, and siding glass doors.  No hollow core doors.
  • Electrical:  Switch plates, switches, fuses, breakers, conduit, etc.
  • Flooring: No Linoleum.
  • Hardware
  • Lighting: Working condition.
  • Lumber
  • Mirrors
  • Office Furniture
  • Plumbing
  • Sinks and Toilets: No rust marks, stains, or chips.
  • Tools
  • Tubs
  • Water heaters: Electric of gas. Not more than than 5 years old.
  • Windows: Double pane only.

Items the ReStore is not able to accept:

  • Mirrors and Glass without frames
  • Sinks or Toilets with stains, rust or chips
  • Water heaters older than 5 years
  • Single pane windows
  • Hollow core or Slab doors
  • Linoleum
  • Non Low flow toilets (Low flow toilets have a 1.6 gallon mark near the top of the seat)
  • Electrical fixtures that are missing parts or not in working order
  • Tile in quantities less than 12 square feet
  • All Liquids:  Paint, Solvents and Chemicals
