On Saturday, November 18th, Habitat will be hosting a Playhouse Build-a-Thon sponsored by Union Bank. Teams will meet at the Habitat ReStore to construct and decorate playhouses that will then be auctioned off on December 1st and 2nd.
How does it work?
Each playhouse takes 3-5 hours to build and paint with the help of 7-10 volunteers. The playhouse is pre-cut, so your team can just build, decorate, and paint the house. If you have a large group, you may want to choose to build multiple houses at once. Sponsorship of playhouses starts at $100 per participant.
Where do the playhouses go?
Once the playhouse is built, it will be donated to a local family or youth-oriented non-profit organization.
