Penn’s career has been driven by “creating a positive difference in the lives of others.” Penn brings a diverse background in nonprofit development, logistics, and operational management to his role at Habitat. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Government, Penn developed a strong foundation in civic engagement and communication. Before Habitat, Penn worked in development for youth outdoor programs across Southern California, driving engagement, reach and creating a difference. His background includes youth development, community outreach, and partnerships. It was working on a political campaign in college where he saw firsthand the impact that people can have on the community they live in. When people commit to making their street corner a little better, the world is a better place because of it. When he’s not coordinating volunteers or reaching out to community partners, Penn enjoys playing pickleball, playing the guitar, spending time with friends, and watching the Texas Longhorns.
